In Her Words brings women together across Isaac

Women from across the Isaac region gathered in Dysart on Saturday 7 March to mark International Women’s Day 2026 through In Her Words – Women of Isaac, an event delivered by the Isaac Business Chamber with support from the Local Buying Foundation.

The event provided an opportunity for women from business, community and caring roles to come together in a shared space centred on listening, reflection and connection. Conversations throughout the day highlighted the diversity of experiences across the region, while reinforcing the common challenges and strengths that shape life and work in regional communities.

Guest speaker Fallon Drewett, founder of The Just Saying Project, invited attendees to reflect on the power of storytelling and the role honesty and vulnerability play in building confidence and connection. Her session encouraged participants to value their own experiences and recognise the impact that shared stories can have in strengthening understanding and support across communities.

Events like In Her Words play an important role in creating time and space for connection beyond day‑to‑day responsibilities. By supporting opportunities for women to come together, reflect and learn from one another, the Local Buying Foundation is contributing to stronger participation, inclusion and resilience across the Isaac region.
