Local Buying Foundation Supports Isaac Business Chamber’s 2025 Calendar of Events
The Local Buying Foundation is proud to announce funding for the Isaac Business Chamber’s 2025 Calendar of Events, a dynamic initiative designed to foster local leadership, strengthen small business networks, and build a more prosperous Isaac region.
This newly funded project will support a series of workshops, networking events, and strategic development activities aimed at empowering the region’s business community. The Chamber’s vision is to attract and promote a resilient business ecosystem through advocacy, collaboration, and inclusive engagement.
Planned activities include:
- HR Workshops on managing psychosocial risks and workplace culture, delivered both online and face-to-face in collaboration with the Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce
- Marketing in an AI World sessions, including Lunch and Learn and Sip and Learn formats, tailored to help businesses navigate digital transformation
- Regular Networking Forums to connect new and existing members, share expertise, and explore opportunities for collaboration
The Chamber is also focused on strategic planning and sustainability, with KPIs that include:
- Developing policies, procedures, and risk management strategies
- Building a Year 2 business plan and financial model for Year 3
- Conducting annual business surveys to identify skills gaps and training needs
- Hosting quarterly progress meetings with stakeholders to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
This initiative builds on the momentum of the Chamber’s successful launch and early events, including the well-received “Finders Keepers” HR workshop, which drew praise for its practical tools, inclusive delivery, and relevance to small businesses operating in mining towns.
By supporting the Isaac Business Chamber, the Local Buying Foundation is investing in the long-term success of the region—empowering local businesses, promoting leadership, and creating lasting value for the community.
