The Tactic Toolkit project, supported by the Local Buying Foundation, has delivered a transformative digital resource designed to meet the evolving needs of regional businesses. Initially planned as a series of in-person workshops, the project adapted to create a scalable online solution that offers long-term accessibility and value. Developed through extensive stakeholder engagement and informed by feedback from 139 businesses and 13 major projects, the Toolkit was soft launched at the Tactic Conference and Trade Expo to strong early feedback.

This milestone marks the completion of Stages 1 and 2, which included detailed datasets and gap analysis, and the successful delivery of Stage 3 through the development of the Toolkit itself. Designed as a living resource, it will continue to evolve with input from regional businesses, ensuring relevance and practical impact. By varying the original KPI to prioritise digital delivery, the project has broadened its reach and strengthened sustainability.

The Tactic Toolkit represents more than a shift in format—it reflects a commitment to innovation and responsiveness. By funding initiatives that empower businesses with accessible, practical tools, the Local Buying Foundation is helping build capability, confidence and resilience across regional supply chains, creating lasting benefits for communities and industries alike.
