As industries worldwide transition towards a low-carbon economy, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) must be equipped with the knowledge and tools to adapt, innovate and thrive. To support this transition, Industry Capability Network (ICN) South Australia is hosting three climate workshops across the state, helping businesses prepare for a net zero future.
These workshops, free for registering businesses, are funded with the support of the Local Buying Foundation, and aim to provide SMEs with the insights and strategies needed to navigate the opportunities and challenges of reducing carbon emissions and implementing sustainable practices.
Why Are These Workshops Important?
The global shift towards net zero is already reshaping supply chains, investment priorities and regulatory frameworks. Many large companies and government agencies now require suppliers to demonstrate sustainability commitments, meaning SMEs that take action now will be better positioned for future success.
By funding these workshops, the Foundation is ensuring that businesses, particularly those in regional South Australia, have access to vital resources that can help them remain competitive, attract new opportunities and contribute to a more sustainable economy.
What Will Businesses Gain?
The workshops will provide practical, actionable guidance, including:
✔ Understanding the transition to net zero and what it means for SMEs
✔ Strategies for reducing emissions and improving sustainability
✔ Insights into emerging business opportunities in a low-carbon economy
✔ How to meet supply chain and regulatory expectations for sustainability
