Upper Hunter Country Tourism (UHCT) is the local tourism organisation working with Muswellbrook Shire and Upper Hunter Shire to collaborate on tourism in the local area with a commitment to grow the local visitor economy. The branding Upper Hunter Country: ‘Come on up’ is shared across the two shires.
The Upper Hunter Destination Management Plan (DMP) was recently updated in 2018. The revised DMP and shared tourism strategy has highlighted several key gaps and opportunities for tourism development including the need to update the format and information on the UHCT website. www.upperhuntercountry.com to meet the expectations of visitors to the region, will link to all social media applications and better promote the tourism business offerings across the shire.
