With Q3 of this financial year complete, it’s great to celebrate the incredible impact that Local Buying Foundation funding has on our local communities.
The Local Buying Foundation proudly supports initiatives, programs and events – across the footprints that BHP operates in – that build the capacity and capability of regional business communities.
Thanks to BHP’s commitment to supporting small, local and Indigenous businesses through the Local Buying Program, the Local Buying Foundation is able to provide funding to support business development initiatives, programs and events within BHP’s footprint in QLD, NSW, SA, and WA.
During July 2023-March 2024 the Local Buying Foundation has proudly:
- Provided funding for 45 LBF sponsored workshops, events and initiatives
- Approved 23 new projects valued at $995,084
- Has an active investment of 35 open projects worth over $6.8M
- Engaged over 8,500* people through workshops, programs and events (*based on reports received)
