It’s was a great first half of the financial year, and it’s impressive to see the incredible impact that Local Buying Foundation funding has on our local communities.
Thanks to BHP’s commitment to supporting small, local and Indigenous businesses through the Local Buying Program, the Local Buying Foundation is able to provide funding to support business development initiatives, programs and events within BHP’s footprint in QLD, NSW, SA, and WA – that build the capacity and capability of regional business communities.
During July-Dec 2023 the LBF proudly supported nationally –
- 37 LBF sponsored workshops, events and initiatives
- Approved 17 new projects valued at $53,745
- Has an active investment of 24 open projects worth over $6.4M
- Engaged over 4,200* people through workshops, programs and events (*based on reports received)
