Introduction to Carbon Accounting Workshop

Knowing how to measure and act on your carbon emissions can add significant competitive benefit to your business and is important to be part of supply chains, win work, and retain customers.

Business Chamber Queensland is partnering with Gw3 and the LBF-funded Decarbonisation Accelerated to help small and medium businesses learn where to start with carbon emissions. Senior Sustainability Specialist, Omar Biaz, will help deliver this workshop in simple terms, using easy to understand language and relatable examples for Queensland businesses.

This workshop is open to all businesses in the Greater Whitsunday Region and is being held in person, in Mackay.

The workshop will address introductory carbon accounting questions and concepts such as:
✅How do I measure my carbon emissions?
✅What are Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions?
✅What data do I need to collect to measure my emission?
✅Where do I start?
✅The workshop will also provide information on the benefits of joining the ecoBiz program.
