In the first SA funding round for 2024, which closed in May, The SA Local Buying Foundation Advisory Committee and Trustees have approved funding for Business Port Augusta, under the Micro-business and SME Capacity-building funding category, to support the creation of a Marketing & Business Event Manager position.

The funding, approved for the FY25 financial year, will enable Business Port Augusta to hire a dedicated Marketing & Business Community Manager. This strategic role is set to enhance Business Port Augusta’s capacity to foster business growth, increase brand awareness, promote and initiate business development and networking opportunities, and drive regional collaboration with surrounding Port Pirie and Whyalla regions.

This role reflects the combined strategic goals of Business Port Augusta BPA’s and the Local Buying Foundation’s Bridging including building thriving communities, a future-ready workforce, and indigenous partnerships.

Recruitment for this role will commence at the beginning of the FY25 financial year.

This funded role is part of the broader Bridging the Boundaries program – a national initiative funding locally-based economic development positions to support and empower business communities. More information about the Bridging the Boundaries positions can be found here.
