Celebrating the Success of CHDC Business Planning Workshop
The Local Buying Foundation is proud to share the success of the Roadmap to Results: Business Plan Essentials Workshop, held on 28 March 2025 as part of the CHDC 2025 Calendar of Events (LBF0320).
Delivered in partnership with the Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC), this workshop provided local businesses with practical tools and expert guidance to strengthen their business planning capabilities. The event was marked as a complete success, with strong attendance and positive feedback from participants.
This initiative reflects LBF’s commitment to supporting micro and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) across the Central Highlands region, helping them build resilience, improve strategic planning, and unlock growth opportunities.

The Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC) is excited to announce its 2025 Event and Workshop Series and the Local Buying Foundation is again proud to support this initiative under our category of Sponsorship of Business Awards, Conferences and Events.
The CHBEA Business Support initiative will assist in delivering workshops for Business Excellence Awards applicants, covering essential topics such as business planning, workplace culture, and leadership. The Working Lunches are designed to provide local businesses with valuable insights, networking opportunities, and resources. Each event features presentations from two industry professionals, followed by an engaging Q&A session. These lunches address key issues identified in the Central Highlands Business Survey, ensuring they are relevant and beneficial.
A Tourism-Focused Working Lunch will target 30 tourism operators, addressing industry-specific challenges and opportunities to help them thrive and finally, the CHBEA Event partnership will support the prestigious Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner, celebrating the achievements of local businesses.
These events are designed to benefit the 3,300+ businesses in the Central Highlands, spanning sectors such as resources, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, health, education, training and government. By participating, businesses gain access to valuable information, key contacts, capacity building, and direct development opportunities.
